A lot of cleaning company owners tell me that they don’t have the time to be on social media.
Or worse they tell me that they tried social media and it didn’t work because:
They don’t know what to say
They don’t know what to do
They lose money every time they try
They waste a lot of time trying to figure it out
They had virtually nothing to show for their efforts
It’s easy to let the confusion and fear get the best of you.
The truth is that’s where conversations about your business are going to happen…whether you’re there or not.
And if you’re not there chances are you won’t like what’s being said.
So ignoring social media is no longer an option…you HAVE to master it.
The fact is…
It’s a lot easier than you think.
You CAN master social media with just a few tweaks if you understand what it really takes to succeed.
Here’s a hint:
You don’t have to spend hours in chat rooms, have inane conversations that go nowhere or post spammy content.
That strategy leads nowhere.
What WORKS is knowing who your target customer is, what their pain is, and where they go to solve it. Then you have to GIVE THEM REAL VALUE!
You don’t have to spend 40 hours a week creating content either or be “good on camera.”
If you spend 1-3 hours a week creating real value you’ll see fast results.
You can even leverage your strengths and create content on your FAVORITE platform and repurpose it for every other platform. Here’s what I get out of 1 FB live:
Facebook Live – Podcast – Youtube – Blog – Instagram post – FB post on your page AND group – LinkedIn Article – Email -Twitter posts
And coming up with content is easier than you think too.
Just ask your people what drives them nuts and find a way to help them
Have guest experts on to share THEIR value
Have your clients on to share their stories
Have your perfect prospects on to share their frustrations
Have your employees on to share their perspective
Share YOUR personal story of growth
Ask them what they want and figure out how to give it to them
If you want to stay on top of what’s important you can check Buzzsumo or Google Trends and see what people are talking about.
Or you can give an “expert opinion.”
Most people don’t understand that an expert is someone who knows 10% more than you do.
If you read three books you’ll know much more than that!
For the hard work of posting and responding to messages you can outsource the work to sites like fivver.com, onlinejobs.ph, or Upwork.
I didn’t start out feeling very strong at social media…
But I’ve used it to strengthen my business
Best of all, once you get this right, you can leverage a few hours or so of your time to get dozens of leads every month without any extra work!
